Forgotten Barrel - Historic. Rustic. Timeless

Formerly the historic Ferrara Winery, The Forgotten Barrel, is anything but forgotten. This charming winery is a designated California historic point of interest and a historic site by the City of Escondido.

Established in 1886, the once Ferrara Winery, is one of Southern California's first vineyards. Ran by 3 generations of the Ferrara family, the beautiful buildings and grounds were restored and reopened in 2017 as the Forgotten Barrel, while keeping the charming rustic qualities of it's historic past.

The Forgotten Barrel produces red, white, rosé and sweet wines, so there is truly something for everyone. They are also known to whip up delectable Sangria batches on the weekends, which is the perfect refreshing treat in our warm San Diego weather.
